Fall Break

The past four days were such a blessing.
Not only did I have a break from class,
but I got to spend quality time with my amazing Mother.
We started working on this scrapbook that will be filled with my favorite pictures from my childhood.
I can't wait to flip through it when it's finished.
Looking at all those pictures really made me realize how lucky I am to have such a wonderful family.
God chose where I would be very carefully,
and I wouldn't change a thing about my life.
I also got to spend a day with my Grandmother.
Though we're pen pals, it was nice to catch up.
She's been like a second mother to me all my life and I don't know what I would do without her.

Thank you Lord for the blessing that these two woman have been to me!

Not only did I get to spend time with my Mom, but I got to earn some moolah by babysitting the kids next door.
Feels good to have some cash! Haha.
It was hard, as usual after a break, to head back to Ttown.
I'm really not ready for the stress of class, rehearsals, and studying to set back in.

Some breaks just aren't long enough.

One of my Mom's favorite pictures of me from our scrapbook.
I know, I was adorable :)

In a Rut

Lately I have been in quite a rut.
I have had little motivation for school,
rehearsals,
or even working out.
I've been in a weird lazy mode...
I don't know what my deal is,
but I need some serious motivation.

Daddy Weekend

I feel like I haven't blogged in weeks... Nonetheless, this past weekend was a very special one. My Dad came to Tuscaloosa for a visit :) It's always great to see my Dad and every visit we have together just makes our relationship stronger and stronger. I feel closer to him now than I ever have in my life. I am so blessed to have him and I am especially thankful for all that God has blessed us with. Throughout the weekend, we chatted, laughed, and goofed off; just having fun together. I had been looking forward to this weekend for a while and it was as fun as I had hoped it would be. It meant a lot to have my Dad here for a few days.

-Friday night, we had dinner at my favorite sushi place, Bento, and then saw Contagion. (If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend you do so. I am already a germaphob so this movie just increased that by about 6 more hand washes a day. Not to mention I've recently had a cold and I have to admit I was afraid of dying from it...) Anyway, Dad is my movie buddy so of course we're going to see something while he's here!
-Saturday we spent the day, of course, watching football. Roll Tide and Go Vols. We watched the Tennessee game over lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings followed by a break of watching Bridesmaids at my apartment. I am currently OBSESSED with this movie and Dad found it about as funny as I do. The Alabama game was Saturday evening so we watched that and I made a few Weight Watchers football snacks like seven layer mexican dip, brownies, rotel dip, and potato skins (which were an epic fail by the way).

-Sunday morning we had breakfast at the Waysider and then Dad headed to Mississipppi. It was a short day for us but I'm looking forward to seeing Dad again in November when he comes back to see Resonance's fall show :)
